Grandpa Ralph

Today, while Mommy slept, Daddy took J&O to the store and bought a football and a soccer ball ("kick ball"). They had a great time enjoying the fabulous weather. Life is good!!!! On a more somber note, Grandpa Ralph passed away on Thursday. He was 90yrs old and died in his recliner at home. He was a good man. He will be missed!!!

Spring has Sprung!

We are sooooo enjoying the warm weather! And we just love having our yard to play in. it has made a great deal maker for naps "If you go and take a good nap, we can play outside when you wake up!" Works like a charm!! So far anyway. The time change is great also. They have been sleeping until 7am again (after shifting to a 6am wakeup for the past few weeks). Anyway, things are great here with the girls. We're just waiting for summer!

I just wanted to jot down a few of the funny things that J&O have been saying lately...

J to O : "Look at me. (O looks) Cough for me (O coughs). Thank you" Such a parrot, as we have been asking her to do that all week!

J: "Hey! Mommy!"

J: "Hey! Dad!" instead of daddy

both, whenever they crawl anywhere: "I crawl like Ellinor!" Ellinor knows how to walk now.

O, coloring with a yellow marker : "Sunny Day! Sunny Day!" (as in, the theme from Sesame st).

O, when I opened the car door and sun got in her eyes "Sunny Day!" very sad.

"I wanna ride it." O when she saw uncle Mike's quad in the garage. And then the next day, after explaining to her why she could NOT ride the quad...

" I wanna ride it. Too dangris (dangerous)".

First Visit to the ER

Jocelyn fell and bonked her head on the corner of the coffee table yesterday and it left a very small, yet open cut on her forehead. So off to the ER we went. 5hours, and a little glue later, she is as good as new! She was a perfect angel. The doctors and nurses kept saying how she was the "perfect little patient". She didn't cry or complain (even though she missed lunch and wasn't allowed to eat or drink anything in case she needed stitches). She spent a good 1/2 hour putting scraps of paper towel in the garbage can. She then spent another half hour or so putting fake lotion on her toy pig. We had a great Christmas, the girls really cleaned up! They had lots of fun playing with their cousins, aunts, uncles and grandparents. We are now in our new house! Lots of room to play now! So things here are good!

"Where is your heart?"

My computer may have a virus and I'm having problems uploading photos, so this has been the perfect opportunity for me to slack and not update the blog!!! We finally sold our house and are closing on the 24th of November (fingers crossed). But, as we are not closing on our new house until December 10th (again, fingers crossed) we will be moving in with Memere and Pepere for a couple of weeks. The girls will be sleeping in Pepere's office which will be moved down to the basement for awhile. We really appreciate all of the effort and sacrifice involved! The doggies, however, are not welcome at Memere and Pepere's house :( . Sooo, Simon will be living in NH for a couple of weeks with David, Daphne and the kids (I really think he would prefer to be an only dog anyway). Lucy will be staying in Berkley with the Bianchi family. Emmett will be living with Steve's parents for the duration. Hopefully all the table scraps that Grandpa is sure to give him don't increase his waistline too much! He will definitely be in heaven over there though. We are so excited to move into our new home. So much more room!
The girls are growing bigger and more interesting all the time! The talk soooo much. Jocelyn just had a language explosion and is pronouncing things much better than she was. They love their cousins and know all of their names. 2 weeks ago Ellinor turned one (yikes!) and they had such a blast at "Elnnanor"'s party. I think the kitchen set that Memere and Pepere are going to be getting them is going to be a major hit, based on their reaction to Elli's new one. Then last weekend James had his second birthday. I wasn't there, but the girls got to go on a REAL FIRETRUCK! It was a rainy day, but the kids had a blast. Halloween was fun. We visited grandparents and dressed as ballerinas. They had so much fun dancing for everyone!

The Doorway

Here are the girls from Sunday afternoon. They LOVE having that door open. It is even cuter when they are just in diapers, but this was pretty adorable too. Mom W said it looks like they are getting ready for the next showing. We have had a few showings on the house recently, but no offers yet. Keeping fingers crossed though! Tomorrow (well, today actually!) is Pepere's birthday so we will be off celebrating with him tomorrow. Summer is officially over!
